so nice to have stumble across this...
love the intro. this is funny, it's good, very clever. Doesn't sound like blues to me, sounds like jazz, lounge jazz. It's different, good musically, yet funny. the sticks in the beginning, the exaggerated vocals, Bob Dylan-esque at times and then breathy, feigned sexy. the simplicity of the song is appealing yet misleading.

to your requested comments:
who do we sound like: I hope you won't take this as an insult because I definitely don't mean it that way. you sound like talented musicians making fun of jazz. You're really good and yet, the music doesn't sound like you're serious. I think that's great. i love the song. but it makes me wan't to laugh the whole time. you asked about the backing vocals, which just fits perfectly and yet could be a Saturday Night Live skit. Where a famous singer mocks herself doing backing vocals. the mood is in my opinion fantastic. think this is a great little piece of work, the funny intro, the quirky vocals, the groovy, bass and heavy drums which just sound great, all the rim work, the big ole guitar i can just see it. I just love it all. really really good and i'm still smiling about it.

kind of jazz feel intro
Nice sound, good female harmony touch. I like the mood, feel and music more then the lyrics, but nice song overall -- nice guitar work. Very jazzy more than blues.

Now there is some GOOD Music ! Nice Beat, Great Arangement , Flowing Melody. Backing Vocals were very Good , Sweet sound , pefectly placed ! MELLOW is the word for Mood it put me in , and I like the feeling ! Lead Vocal and General sound of the Band reminded me of John Mahal ( did I spell that right?) Piano & Drums & Bass were right on the Money... Lead Guitar was Good , but I would like to hear MORE of it .

Nice mood.
I haven't heard anyone write a song in this way for some time. That alone makes it refreshing. The singers voice contrasts with the mellowness of the song and this contributes to it's originality. Nice timbre and timing there. Can't really say who you sound like, and don't honestly care to because it can either make you feel too good, or too bad. Original music is it's own reward.

wow
let me say that a latin blues song has never crossed my mind. Now that it has I am glad. A smoothly excecutecd rhythm with a light peppering of backing vocals take you straight to bluesville. the warm and soulful guitars line adds years to the age of the song. Like an old friend who you have not seen for a while. Why can't my piano sound like that. Is there magic in the air. This is a perfect marriage between Babel Gilberto and BB knig. I think that their child would be something beatiful. Extra Credit: Female Vocals, Melody, Coolest Chill-Out Track.

Spooky
Backing Vocals: They were very good and tasty. The long "oooo's" really added to the mood. Mood: Great mood created in this song. The way it was recorded and the song itself has a real classic feel to it, almost a Dave Brubeck feel to it. The singer adds sort of a modern touch to it I think, but at the same time sounds a little like the song "Spooky". Overall this is a very tasty track. I think it could fit very well in a movie soundtrack. The drummer is excellent, I really enjoyed his work. His drums have a great sound to them as well.

Welcome to the Ritz
Finely dressed couples spin through the haze of a smokey lounge. The dimness is cut occasionally by the sting of lazer lighting. The band has already played three sets and the end of another nights work looms invitingly in the near distance. But, I'm ramblin. This is a great closing time track. Band is tight and vocal a pure silk. Thank for the entertainment.

Interesting Tune
The strong points of this song are the keyboard, backup vocals(especially), lead vocal(pretty much), drum, and concept. The back up vocals are cool. They enhanced the tune and blended with the overall sound well.

This grows on you
My feeling about this tune on first listen started at " this sucks and ended at this does not suck". After a second, third and fourth listen my opinion is now "I dig it". The piano diddle before the drummers count in made me anticipate Barry Manilo, then your intro gave me a hint of a jazz quartet covering the allman brothers and then BOOM! your playing a verse section with a melody thats part bosa nova and part samba. on top of that the vocal sounded like a cocktail lounge wrap. This is a lot of input to process in the first eight bars of a piece. After bar eight, the groove was obvious, drums and bass set the pocket, the back up vocals were in and you realize the lead vocal shouldn't be done anyother way. It all works

Now give it a second and third listen and you begin to appreciate the originality of the bands approach to a tune I would classify as a Crooner's ballad that you might expect from Tony Bennet.

On the fouth listen I begin to imagine that the band is young with some or all of the members formally trained in classical and /or jazz and listened to new wave and punk recreationally. I look forward to checking out the web site to find out.

Background vocals were well done appropriate and perfectly pitched mood was "cool, kinda lounge lizard". You sound like you, don't change that.

Unusual
The jazzy piano and lounge sound are topped off by an unusual vocal that is hard to judge for me. Its either great or not. Its certainly polished and a bit sixties. I'm going to give it good marks because it made an impression on me. When's the album out?

Great groove!!!
This song comes with a groove that brings you right in. The vocals are soulful. The piano really maks a statement in this song. The drummer is playing his heart out. The bass is awesome!! The guitar player and the piano player really make a statement here. The back vocals are hot and adds a lot of meat to the vocals. Production and performance were tremendous. To me the song has a jazzy mood like something you might hear in a piano bar, That's not a bad thing either. As far as who you sound like you sound like you it's called style and you have your own which is good. Nice little bluesy-jazzy song.

love the overall sound
The vocals and music mixing together. The airy vocals of the lead fit the music great. Good music for those rainy days, sitting on the couch and reminicing of days past. The backing vocals are great. They blend well with the lead vocal. Sounds familiar, but I can't put a name on the sound. The lead vocal sort of make it unique though. Great work.

something new
I think this might turn some women on and I love the backing vocals. It reminded me a little of Dan Hicks with his female back up singers or maybe the music sounds a little like Santanna. I think this is more of maybe something new and it will be interested to see what they do next.

jazzy blues
Latin feeling keyboards and voicing of chords is nice. Also the drummer is doing a good job of adding to that vibe. 1st Guitar solo mimicks the melody - I always like that. Overall a melow acid jazzy feel. Oye Como Va - santana. Good job.
