Right on the money!!!!
Hot record here!!!, Great intro using that close horn harmony lines. The drummer was solid as a rock. A Great set of horn players, they went to the outside but never got lost and always found their way back home. I really liked this piece. A great interesting mood set down in this record. Also I know you didn't ask for it, but the piano was off the hook.

The Broadly Painted Strokes of the Horns
A beautiful piece... The horns are wonderful... takes me back to the swing era Count, Duke, Mr. Coltrain... Miles Davis... On my third listen now... Beautiful guitar work subtle and substantial... Not always an easy accomplishment especially when one considers the Jazz Guitar's traditional role... Similarly the piano and bass and percussion lend themselves out to be a perfect canvas to the broadly painted strokes of the horns... All together blending, giving and receiving from each other to create a smooth and yet intense listening experience...

Has Django Reinhardt rejoined with Charlie Parker in heaven?
I simpy don't know what to say - this song is just great! By now I guess I don't have to mention that the musical performance is excellent and way over average. The intro is mellow with some nice starting chords on the piano, followed by intersting horns which interacts perfectly with the "lingering" bass. The intro is great - don't change it! The guitar work reminds me of the legendary Django Reinhardt. Around 3 minutes I think the work of the horns becomes a bit too chaotic with a tendency towards disharmony - be careful not to overdo it. The mood of the song starts off as being mellow and becomes more intensive as the song evolves. Thus, the mood is changing which prevents it from becoming monotonous.

Sensitive Sophisticated Swingin
Back in the day, Duke Ellington did it best and we have a new competitor to the game. You guys have such a cool laid back approach and it sounds as if you have studied from the master. The intro is special, intense, firery but with a twist of sinister. Saxophonist has round, fat tone, very unobtrusive and warm ala Coletrane. Trombonist hits the mark with his grandstand of a solo over top the tenor. Guitarist is also aces and has a great ear . Each person in this band plays with a fluidity and wisdom that grabs my imagination and makes me think Duke would be proud. Thanks so much and good luck to you all.

Cool guy jazz at it's best.
There's a very cool mood about this song. With the guitars panned on one side and the trumpets on the other, it almost sounds like a little battle between strings and horns. But, it's a great feel-good song with a killer boogie-woogie vibe.

late-night jazz session
This is the kind of thing you might hear at a good jazz club, late in the evening, when the performers were warmed up and the mood was warm and easy. It may not be truly original - the Miles Davis quartet is a direct ancestor - but it's pleasing and well thought out. The horns are moody and interesting and the rhythm is satisfyingly complex. I get the feelings the musicians are reaching for something more - something groundbreaking. Who knows? Maybe they'll find it. Would love to hear them live.

Very good musicianship, convincing mood.
Nice guitar comp. Like the 'All Blues' like feel in the intro. Very nice mood. Also sounds an awful like a Miles Davis Quartet (1960's) tune. Can't remember which one. Good plummy trombone tone. Lovely sax, wistful, elegant.

Defenitely some talent here
First off, I really liked the Horn vibratos in the intro. The horns play off each other well throughout the whole song. The piano lead later in the song is well executed.

Cool
This is a cool relaxed song. I like the simple bass line. It adds some class to this song. The horns sound out of tune. The walking bit is cool aswell. The solos are good aswell. They are not too rushed or trying to show off. They really suit the style of this song. I dont like the overlap of solos though. I dont think it quite works. I feel that after about 4:30 the song is starting to feel a bnit repetitive. Seems to be stretched. Especially at 5:00 I think it need a definite ending. I feel you need to cut the silence off of the ending and the beginning though. Overall I think this song is really cool. I can really imagine it being played in a classy bar with like red lights a loads of smoke. Nice work.

pleasing
usually i like more abrupt jazz, however this piece was very enjoyable for me. It wasn't something any idiot could compose on their casio. the music is real, it isn 't too produced, and it is aweosme. smooth saxophone but not kenny g style like some of the other stuff i've heard reviewing. I would go see this band, I would but their cd. love every part of the song. talent in every player is great and the band is tight. mood sets me in a chair in some club smiling and bobing my head. it makes me relaxed, but not elevator relaxed. the intro is nice, but it's not anything i would remember at the end of the song and say that was nifty.

Upper Shelf
The band has asked for comments on:
1 - Horns are very endearing
2 - Intro was perfect. A very welcoming procession
3 - Mood is swag and classic. Very cornerstore type sound.

The only thing i would of liked to have seen in this track is some tempo slides and perhaps some bend on the notes. I really like this track alot. Really like how it evolves. This is definitely 5 stars!

I love this. Beautiful song - great rendition. It has just perfect amount of darkness and disorder in it. That's what excites me about music. That crazy trill on horns is absolutely perfect, and horn arrangements are colorful and deep. The band sounds intense. Thanks for all that good music! Good luck

here's Miles?
This isn't really my style of music, but I appreciate good musicianship, and I thought the instrumentation was very well done. Definitely captured that jazz club feel. I actually liked the intro better than the rest of the song - upon hearing the intro, I expected the song to go in a different direction. The horns had a different sound than them than I'm used to hearing, but they were effective for the mood you were trying to capture.

Good
Intro is very good, i like it's harmony changes and horns. Horns play also well made harmony in the theme. Piano plays good - I like it. The mood reminds me of All Blues from the Miles Davis' album - Kind Of Blue. The piece sounds classic (and I'm not a fan of that kind of jazz) but I like it. Nice performed Footprints. Good job.
